3/7/2022 8:00 am Precautionary Water Boil

CITY OF HANCOCK
PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Hancock water customers will be starting a precautionary water boil effect Monday, March 7th at 8:00 a.m. The City has been using the water reserves from the bulk storage tank over the weekend. Capacity has diminished and the city will begin receiving water on Monday from Adams Township. Adams Township had a water main break the evening of Friday, March 4th which has been repaired, but test results haven’t been received.

The water boil will remain in effect until testing is completed. A notice will be posted when the boil advisory has been removed.

Water used in cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or that meant for consumption should be brought to a boil for one minute and then allowed to cool. Bottled water is an alternate.
