Edward M.
Lieblein's business served five counties until 1959. Originally built of sandstone in the
1890s, the building displays attractive combinations of newer building materials from
additions and alterations. The main building has decorative ironstone brick designs on the
facade and cornice. In contrast, the setback wing has a varied sandstone surface, a metal
cornice and arched windows and door openings. The northeast corner of the building is
capped by an unusual terminus.
