Hancock Celebrates St. Urho's Day 1999
The celebrating of the legend of St.Urho is held each year on March 16th., on the date of his great feat. Those paying homage generally wear the traditional purple and green colors.

Professor Phyllis McIntyre, acting as host, gives the Suomi College Finnish-American Center audience the background of St.Urho’s Day, and of his accomplishment.

Phyllis McIntyre and Professor Dan Maki, explain the legend of St.Urho, who drove the grasshoppers from Finland in days of old. A good time was had by all in attendance.
