The The new lift, a double chair lift, will accommodate 1200 skiers per hour, bringing the Hill capacity now to 3600 skiers and snowboarders per hour. This is the first lift improvement since 1973, when the first double chair lift went into operation, and will open new trails on the more than 100 acre complex. Mt. Ripley also features night skiing as well.

Being added on the East side of the area, the lift will service east side new runs that previously had been difficult to get to. Construction is under way here on the lower lift station, in early July, as pole guide towers go up, on the slope leading to the top.
