2005 Patriots Day Observance
The 9/11 Patriots Day observance was held on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Hancock Driving Park. An early and later concert, featuring C&W singer Aaron Tippin, was the area's salute to our Military and Home Town Heroes. A between concerts program by local Veterans groups saluted our Military, and honored those currently serving. And $30,000 worth of fireworks display by Morin Fireworks, sure set the tone.

And in most of the attending crowds minds, will be the unique fireworks finale that was visually enhanced by the MI National Guard (most of whom are currently serving in the Middle East), with these two Guardsmen and their vehicle standing symbolic sentry/guard duty, as the fireworks finale went off behind them.
