2005 SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge
The 2005, 6th Annual Clean Snowmobile Challenge, brought 13 University teams to the Keweenaw to compete in a unique research event. The 2005 SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge, is hosted by Michigan Tech's Keweenaw Research Center (KSC), and MTU Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics (MEEM), the Keweenaw National Historic Park (KNHP), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The competition ran from March 14 to 19.

Tuesday, Mar. 15, brought all groups together in Building T-3, for the fuel economy/endurance event, which includes a 100 mile trail run, to Copper Harbor and back.

This beautiful backdrop was set up by 'Ecole de Technologie Sup'erieure, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada , one of three international entries.
