Finnish Parliament Member Visits Hancock
The Honorable Klaus Hellberg, member of Finland's National Parliament, and Chairman of Hancock's sister city of Porvoo, came for a six day visit, his fifth to Hancock, on Tuesday, November 16, 2004. (See also Finland's President Visits, and in archives...(2001)Finland Prime Minister visits.)

Later in the week, Chairman Hellberg visits the Hancock Manor, and chats with seniors, many of whom still speak Finnish. (A map of Finland is in the background).

Gail Ross, HHC Director, presents Hellberg with some mementoes of his visit. One of the purposes of this visit was to look into properties and opportunities for Finnish industrial development in the area, in conjunction with the Smart Zone concept.
